Lahbib: Humanitarian aid must be protected
Brussels, May 26 (Hibya) - European Union (EU) Commissioner for Equality, Preparedness and Crisis Management Hadja Lahbib made a statement regarding Russia targeting a humanitarian aid warehouse in Ukraine.
Lahbib made an assessment regarding Russia’s attacks on Ukraine.
Lahbib stated, “International humanitarian law is being violated every day by Russia.”
Referring to one of the attacks, Lahbib said, “Yesterday, a Russian missile struck a clearly marked @WFP warehouse storing food for Ukrainians affected by the war.”
She emphasized that the aid in question could feed 130,000 people and stressed that humanitarian assistance must be protected.
