Lahbib: Latin America and the Caribbean can count on Europe for disaster risk management
Brussels, October 13 (Hibya) - European Commissioner for Equality, Preparedness and Crisis Management Hadja Lahbib stated that the disaster risk management dialogue between the European Union and Latin America and the Caribbean demonstrated the importance of joint preparedness and trust in saving lives.
European Commissioner Hadja Lahbib announced that Europe stands ready to support Latin American and Caribbean countries in managing disaster risks.
In a statement on social media, Lahbib said that the disaster risk management dialogue between the European Union (EU) and Latin America and the Caribbean showed that trust and preparedness save lives.
Highlighting various disaster risks, including hurricanes, wildfires and El Niño, Lahbib noted that countries would be better equipped to tackle these threats if they prepared together.
