Lahbib: The pandemic taught us that preparedness saves lives
Brussels, March 11 (Hibya) - European Commissioner for Equality, Preparedness, and Crisis Management, Hadja Lahbib, stated that important lessons have been learned from the COVID-19 pandemic.
Commissioner Lahbib recalled that five years have passed since COVID-19 changed the world.
She emphasized that the pandemic has shown the importance of preparedness: "Based on the lessons learned, we established the Health Emergency Preparedness and Response Authority (HERA) to strengthen the EU's health security against future crises. Together we are ready. Together we are safer."
