Lahbib: We look forward to working together
Cork, July 3 (Hibya) - European Union (EU) Commissioner for Equality, Preparedness and Crisis Management Hadja Lahbib visited the city of Cork as part of events marking the beginning of Ireland's Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
European Union (EU) Commissioner for Equality, Preparedness and Crisis Management Hadja Lahbib said she was pleased to be in Cork for the events marking the start of Ireland's Presidency of the Council of the European Union, delivering a strong message of cooperation in humanitarian diplomacy, international law and crisis preparedness.
Referring to her institutional engagements in Ireland and the priorities of the new presidency, Lahbib said, "We are in Cork to celebrate the beginning of Ireland's Council Presidency."
Sharing her vision of strengthening the European Union's role in addressing global crises, Commissioner Hadja Lahbib stated: "We look forward to working together to strengthen the EU's leadership, support international humanitarian law through enhanced humanitarian diplomacy, and make preparedness a shared priority."
