Le Pen and eight lawmakers found guilty
Paris, March 31 (Hibya) – A Paris court has found French far-right leader Marine Le Pen and eight lawmakers guilty of embezzling EU funds.
However, French media report that their sentences will be announced individually.
Le Pen may be banned from holding or seeking any political office.
Le Pen had accused prosecutors of seeking her "political death" and claimed that disqualifying her would go against the will of voters and threaten the democratic process.
