She noted that they continue to maintain close contact with their partners in the region and have reaffirmed their unwavering commitment to regional security and stability. She added the following in her statement:
"The European Union has imposed comprehensive sanctions in response to the actions of Iran’s tyrannical regime and the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps, and has consistently supported diplomatic efforts aimed at finding solutions to the nuclear and ballistic programs through negotiations. In close coordination with EU member states, we will take all necessary steps to ensure that EU citizens in the region can rely on our full support."
