Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kęstutis Budrys said during his meeting with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha that his country would continue its support for Ukraine.
Budrys highlighted the importance of advancing Ukraine’s European Union accession process as quickly as possible, saying the country had made progress on the necessary reforms and that Lithuania supported these efforts.
Budrys said Lithuania had committed to providing 0.25 percent of its gross domestic product each year for Ukraine’s military needs and called on other countries to make a similar commitment.
Addressing Ukraine’s energy needs ahead of winter, Budrys said Lithuania had provided the country with more than 253 tons of critical energy equipment. He added that investments aimed at strengthening Ukraine’s long-term energy resilience were also continuing.
