Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva attended the annual meeting of the Brazilian Society for the Advancement of Science (SBPC), held in the city of Niterói, in the state of Rio de Janeiro.

Lula stated that science is one of the most important ways to build a fairer, more developed, and sovereign Brazil, emphasizing that investing in research, education, and innovation means investing in the country's future.

Lula stressed that supporting universities, researchers, and students strengthens the country's development and creates new opportunities, adding that they are continuing to rebuild Brazil with this vision.
