French President Emmanuel Macron, during his phone conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, emphasized once again that he condemns Russia’s recent attacks and reaffirmed France’s full support for Ukraine.

Macron stated that his recent international contacts, particularly with China, have helped to better understand the situation and advance possible pathways toward a solution. He stressed that France, together with all its partners, is determined to secure measures that will reduce tensions and achieve a ceasefire. Macron also highlighted the importance of the coordination meeting scheduled for Monday in London with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz.

The President added that Europe will play a key role in building a just and lasting solution.
