In her statement, Meloni expressed solidarity with Saudi Arabia and the families of those killed in the attack and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
Emphasizing that attacks against civilians and civilian infrastructure are unacceptable, Meloni said these attacks must end.
Meloni said Italy would continue cooperating with countries in the region to reduce tensions, support stability and ensure freedom of maritime navigation.
