Meloni: Operation in Rome dealt a blow to organized crime
Rome, April 15 (Hibya) – Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni stated that the operation carried out in Rome delivered a significant blow to organized crime.
Meloni noted that 13 people were arrested as part of the operation, including a well-known figure from Rome’s criminal world, emphasizing that this demonstrates the state will not back down in the fight against criminal organizations.
In her statement, Prime Minister Meloni said: “This is exactly the signal that honest citizens expect: presence, determination, and legality.”
Thanking the Rome Prosecutor’s Office, the gendarmerie units, and the security forces involved in the operation, Meloni stressed that the government will continue its efforts without compromise in the areas of security, rule of law, and the fight against the mafia.
