Deniz polisinden Adalar çevresinde 'deniz taksi' denetimi

European Parliament President Metsola said horrifying images are coming from Iran, showing the ongoing atrocities of a regime that fears its own people.

Stating that the tools of repression the Iranian government relies on to preserve itself are no longer sufficient to silence the cries for freedom of people risking their lives on Iran’s streets, Metsola addressed the Iranian people, saying: “Believe. Before the Berlin Wall fell, no one thought it would fall. In 1991, no one believed that a small group of Lithuanians would push back the power of the Soviet army—until they did.”

Emphasizing that the longing for freedom can overcome obstacles that seem impossible, Metsola said:

“Europe will not close its eyes. The European Parliament has acted and banned diplomats of the Iranian regime. We are imposing stronger sanctions against those who repress protesters, and ultimately we are declaring the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps a terrorist organization. Iran is changing. Iran will be free.”
