Metsola: We will never forget Falcone and the victims of the mafia
Brussels, May 23 (Hibya)- European Parliament President Roberta Metsola commemorated Giovanni Falcone and those who lost their lives in mafia attacks, emphasizing on the 34th anniversary of the Capaci Massacre that the struggle for justice will continue.
European Parliament President Metsola issued a commemorative message for Judge Giovanni Falcone and all victims who lost their lives in mafia attacks in Italy.
In her statement marking the 34th anniversary of the Capaci Massacre, Metsola said they respectfully commemorated Falcone as well as all victims of mafia violence.
Emphasizing determination in the struggle for justice, Metsola described Falcone as a symbolic figure who lost his life in pursuit of the truth and stated that Europe would continue to uphold the values of law and justice.
In her message, Metsola reiterated the determination to remember and continue the struggle with the words, “We will never forget.”
