Montenegrin President Jakov Milatovic announced that he met with U.S. President Donald Trump on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly.

Milatovic said that during the meeting he invited Trump to visit Montenegro and play golf overlooking one of Europe’s most beautiful bays. Noting that Montenegro hosted European leaders in June and that they expressed their appreciation for the country’s beauty, Milatovic said Trump’s visit would carry special and historic significance.

Milatovic stated that Trump would become the first U.S. president to visit Montenegro, adding that the visit would be an opportunity not only to showcase the country’s values but also to strengthen the friendship and strategic partnership between Montenegro and the United States.
