In Japan, the Nikkei 225 fell 0.31 percent to 66,011.017 points. In Australia, the ASX 200 declined 0.36 percent to 9,051.20 points.
In India, the NIFTY 50 rose 0.01 percent to 24,234.75 points. In Hong Kong, the Hang Seng Index gained 0.72 percent to 25,883.24 points.
In China, the Shanghai Composite Index was flat with a 0.00 percent change at 3,903.805 points.
