Deniz polisinden Adalar çevresinde 'deniz taksi' denetimi

The draft decision, adopted during the 112th session of the OPCW Executive Council held in The Hague, the Netherlands, was co-sponsored by 66 States Parties.

In a statement, Qatar said the adoption of the decision was the result of diplomatic efforts aimed at achieving broad consensus among the States Parties.

Under the decision, Syria's rights and privileges within the OPCW, which had been suspended in April 2021 due to the actions of the former regime, were reinstated. As a result, Syria will once again be able to exercise all of its rights and authorities as a State Party to the organisation.

The statement added that the decision reflects the progress made in Syria's cooperation with the OPCW and demonstrates confidence in efforts to completely eliminate the remaining elements of the former regime's chemical weapons programme.

It also stated that the decision will strengthen the implementation of the Chemical Weapons Convention and contribute to the organisation's objectives, while reaffirming Qatar's constructive role in promoting consensus among States Parties and supporting multilateral diplomacy.
