Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar attended the Ministerial Meeting of the Group of Eight Arab-Islamic Countries held in New York.

According to a statement by Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dar expressed concern at the meeting over ongoing ceasefire violations and loss of life in Gaza. Dar condemned illegal settlement activity and settler violence in the occupied West Bank and called for the rejection of attempts to undermine the historical status of holy sites.

Dar also stressed that the Gaza Peace Plan and United Nations Security Council Resolution 2803 must be fully implemented.

He reiterated Pakistan's support for a sovereign, independent and territorially integral Palestinian state, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital, based on the pre-1967 borders.
