The ministry announced that on November 5, the United Nations Security Council unanimously adopted a Pakistan-led presidential statement addressing the role of diplomacy during active conflicts. The statement emphasized the importance of maintaining mediation efforts and diplomatic communication channels to achieve ceasefires, reduce tensions and reach lasting political solutions.

Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs also reported that on November 3, during the 81st session of the UN General Assembly, the First Committee on Disarmament and International Security adopted three draft resolutions submitted by Pakistan. The resolution concerning confidence-building measures in regional and subregional contexts was adopted without a vote, while the resolution on conventional arms control at the regional level received 180 votes. Another resolution, covering security assurance arrangements for non-nuclear-weapon states, was adopted with 122 votes.
