In a statement, the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said that measures taken by Israeli authorities against Dutch diplomats serving in the occupied Palestinian territories, including Jerusalem, would hinder the conduct of diplomatic work.

The statement said Dutch diplomats were welcome in the Palestinian territories and alleged that Israeli authorities were exerting pressure and threats in an effort to influence countries' positions and reduce the international diplomatic presence in Palestine.

The Palestinian administration emphasized the importance of bilateral relations with the Netherlands and expressed support for countries that back the Palestinian people's right to self-determination and the two-state solution.

The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates called on the international community and its institutions to adopt a common position in response to measures taken by Israeli authorities against diplomats and international institutions.
