Palestinian Foreign Minister Shahin receives The Elders delegation
Ramallah, July 15 (Hibya) - Palestinian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Varsen Aghabekian Shahin received a delegation from The Elders. During the meeting, participants called for an end to the war in Gaza, the delivery of humanitarian aid, and stronger international support for the Palestinian cause.

The delegation was led by The Elders Chair and former President of Ireland Mary Robinson and also included former New Zealand Prime Minister Helen Clark.
During the meeting, Shahin stressed the importance of strengthening international support for the Palestinian cause and called for the implementation of international law and compliance with the advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice.
Shahin emphasized the need to end the war in the Gaza Strip, ensure the entry of humanitarian aid into the territory, and put an end to the suffering of the Palestinian people. She also urged the international community to act against the escalating settler violence in the West Bank.
She further stressed the need to oppose inflammatory statements by the Israeli government that undermine international law and called for the release of withheld Palestinian financial revenues.
The meeting also addressed efforts to Judaize Jerusalem, the expansion of settlement activities, the E1 project, and violations against Palestinians.
The Elders delegation emphasized the importance of amplifying the voice of the Palestinian people within the international community, stating that it would work to convey Palestinian demands to relevant parties and raise them at international meetings and forums.
