In a statement from the Palestinian Foreign Ministry, it was noted that the issue of the occupiers' seizure of Umm Tuba lands is being followed before international authorities and courts.

The statement expressed that the ministry strongly condemns the occupier authorities' seizure of 64 dunams of land in the village of Umm Tuba, south of Jerusalem:

“This threatens to displace dozens of Jerusalemite families and shows that Israel systematically steals Jerusalemites' land to force them to leave. The ministry views this crime as part of a long series of unilateral, illegal measures applied by the occupation in its race against time to annex, Judaize Jerusalem, and fully separate it from Palestine.”
