Pavel: In some areas, we are now setting the pace
Prague, August 20 (Hibya) - Czech President Petr Pavel visited technology and sports equipment manufacturers in the Nove Mesto na Morave area, highlighting the success of Czech companies in the global market.
Czech President Petr Pavel visited technology and sports equipment manufacturers in the Nove Mesto na Morave area, highlighting the success of Czech companies in the global market.
Pavel said the region is known not only for biathlon but is also home to companies operating in advanced technology and world-renowned ski manufacturers.
Commenting on his visits in the region, Pavel said he was pleased to visit companies that may not attract much attention at first glance but carry out significant work on an international scale.
Pavel said, “Nove Mesto na Morave is not famous only for biathlon. High-end radio technologies and skis are also produced here.”
Pavel pointed to the importance of companies operating in the regions and having a global impact, saying such firms demonstrate Czechia's economic and technological capacity.
One of the companies Pavel visited was RACOM, which produces advanced radio technologies. Pavel recalled that the company had accompanied him on a visit to the United States several years ago and said he had closely followed its development since then.
Pavel said devices developed by RACOM are now used in more than 140 countries and that the company's technologies also perform important roles at international events.
Pavel said RACOM products, for example, contribute to the broadcasting of the Tour de France races held in France.
Another stop on Pavel's visit was the traditional ski brand Kästle.
Pavel said local entrepreneurs operating in the region had brought the brand back to a high level and that skis produced in the Vysocina region are now used by many elite athletes.
Emphasizing that Czechia has once again achieved a strong position in traditional manufacturing sectors, Pavel said local entrepreneurship and innovation contribute to the country's international competitiveness.
Pavel said the examples of RACOM and Kästle show how far Czech companies have come in global competition, adding: “Both companies prove that Czechs do not have to simply catch up with the world. In some areas, they are now setting the pace.”
