Peskov: Israel's bombing of homes in Lebanon will lead to a humanitarian catastrophe
Moscow, September 30 (Hibya) - Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Israel's bombing of Lebanon will inevitably lead to a humanitarian catastrophe and that this is a source of deep concern for Moscow.
"Such indiscriminate bombing of residential areas in Lebanon leads to a lot of human casualties. It will inevitably lead to a humanitarian catastrophe, as we saw in Gaza. These consequences cannot leave us indifferent; they cannot, but they cause our deepest concern," Peskov told reporters.
Since last week, the Israeli Air Force has been conducting large-scale strikes against Shiite Hezbollah targets in various parts of Lebanon. Several targeted strikes were also recorded in Beirut, killing senior Hezbollah commanders and the movement's Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah.
