Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic commented on the Slovenian Government's decision to lift temporary border controls with Croatia.

Referring to the decision and the functioning of the Schengen Area, Prime Minister Plenkovic said: "We welcome the decision of the Slovenian Government under Janez Jansa to remove temporary border controls with Croatia, a decision that enables the full implementation of the Schengen free movement area for vehicles and passengers!"

Highlighting the security and neighborly ties between the two countries, Plenkovic concluded: "Croatia and Slovenia continue to foster good-neighborly relations and strengthen cooperation between their police forces in preventing illegal migration and other criminal activities."
