Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic inaugurated a new elderly care center in Grubišno Polje.

Plenkovic said the facility, the eighth elderly care center opened in the past two months, is part of Croatia's elderly care investments under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NPOO).

He noted that the center, built with an investment of 11.2 million euros, has accommodation capacity for 102 people, will also provide services for Alzheimer's patients and people affected by various forms of dementia, will offer community-based care services to 227 people, and will create 68 new jobs.

Plenkovic said the government continues its pension reforms, including increasing pensions, improving the pension adjustment system, and planning to abolish income tax on pensions starting next year. He also stressed that investments aimed at improving the quality of life of older people and supporting balanced development across all regions of the country will continue.
