Positive trend across Asian stock markets
Istanbul, July 31 (Hibya) - Trading across Asian equity markets is continuing mostly in positive territory. South Korea posted the strongest gains, while China's FTSE China 50 Index declined.
Trading across Asian stock markets remained mostly positive. While many indices in the region posted gains, Chinese markets recorded limited losses.
Japan's Nikkei 225 Index climbed 3.95 percent to 64,310 points, while Australia's S&P/ASX 200 Index traded 0.19 percent higher at 8,984.90 points. Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index rose 0.01 percent to 25,862 points, and India's Nifty 50 Index advanced 0.13 percent to 24,347.85 points.
China's FTSE China 50 Index fell 0.30 percent to 16,501.84 points, while Indonesia's IDX Composite Index gained 0.48 percent to 6,216.28 points. Malaysia's KLCI Index also traded 0.48 percent higher at 1,728.73 points.
South Korea's KOSPI Index recorded the region's strongest gain, soaring 15.74 percent to 6,474.04 points, while Thailand's SET Index rose 1.38 percent to 1,620.22 points.
Sri Lanka's CSE All-Share Index remained unchanged.
