Prevot: Security teams are the priority in the Fagnes fires
Brussels, August 10 (Hibya) - Belgian Foreign Minister Maxime Prevot drew attention to the mobilization of firefighters, the army, police, farmers and volunteers in combating the fires in the Fagnes region.
Belgian Foreign Minister Maxime Prevot stated that the country is battling one of its major fires and said the priority should be the mobilization of all civil security teams.
Prevot praised the efforts of firefighters, along with reinforcements from the army and police, as well as the work of farmers and volunteers. Prevot also thanked European countries for the support they provided and called for unity, stating that political debates should be held later.
Prevot also said that political debates should not be brought onto the agenda while the fires and the emergencies faced by evacuated families are ongoing.
