Qatar and China discuss ways to strengthen strategic relations
Doha, September 7 (Hibya) – Qatar's Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani discussed strengthening strategic relations between the two countries with Chinese Premier Li Qiang.
Qatar's Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani met Chinese Premier Li Qiang in Beijing, the capital of China.
According to a statement posted on social media by Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the meeting addressed strengthening strategic relations between the two countries and expanding mutual cooperation.
The talks also covered developing cooperation in the fields of economy, investment, trade, energy and technology, as well as strengthening existing partnerships in areas of common interest.
The two sides also exchanged views on major developments in the region.
Sheikh Mohammed said Qatar attaches importance to expanding its relations with China to broader horizons and further advancing cooperation in line with the shared goals and interests of the two countries and their peoples.
