Qatar's Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio discussed cooperation between the two countries and regional developments during a telephone conversation.

According to a statement by Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the conversation addressed strengthening the strategic partnership between Qatar and the US, diplomatic efforts and coordination aimed at reducing regional tensions.

Qatari Prime Minister Al Thani reiterated Qatar's support for diplomatic initiatives aimed at reaching a comprehensive agreement that would guarantee freedom of maritime navigation and establish lasting peace in the region.
