Deniz polisinden Adalar çevresinde 'deniz taksi' denetimi

Qatar strongly condemned Iran’s targeting of the Saudi-owned tanker SIDR while it was passing through the Strait of Hormuz, which resulted in fatalities among the crew.

In a statement, Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the attack constituted a clear violation of international law, freedom of maritime navigation and United Nations Security Council Resolution 2817.

The ministry said it categorically rejects the use of the Strait of Hormuz as a tool of pressure.

The statement called for the unconditional reopening of the strait, emphasizing that freedom of passage through the vital waterway is an indisputable principle.

It stated that the continued closure of the Strait of Hormuz puts the vital interests of countries in the region and the global economy at risk.

Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Iran’s attacks on the property of brotherly countries must stop.

The statement said Qatar stands in full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and supports any measures the Kingdom takes to protect its property.
