Deniz polisinden Adalar çevresinde 'deniz taksi' denetimi

Qatari Foreign Ministry Spokesperson and Prime Minister's Adviser Majed bin Mohammed Al-Ansari commented on regional developments during his weekly press briefing.

Al-Ansari said Qatar continues intensive consultations with its regional and international partners to prevent further escalation in the region and support diplomatic solutions.

Speaking about freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, Al-Ansari stressed that maritime transit must be guaranteed in a way that protects the interests of all countries in the region.

He added that Qatar opposes the use of the Strait of Hormuz for political purposes or as a tool of pressure, emphasizing the importance of preserving regional stability.

Al-Ansari also addressed the Gaza ceasefire process, saying that the mediators had stressed the need to accelerate the implementation of the second phase of the ceasefire agreement linked to U.S. President Donald Trump's plan.

He stated that the Palestinian side and Hamas remain committed to the agreed roadmap, adding that Israel must also fulfill all of its obligations, withdraw from Gaza, and comply with international law.

The Qatari Foreign Ministry spokesperson called on the international community to pressure Israel to implement the agreement, halt its attacks, withdraw from Gaza, and comply with international law.
