Qatar issues statement on Al-Aqsa Mosque raid
Doha, August 5 (Hibya) – Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the raid carried out by Israeli settlers on the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque is a violation of international law and called on the international community to fulfill its responsibilities.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar released a statement regarding the raid on Al-Aqsa Mosque's courtyards by Israeli settlers under the leadership of the National Security Minister of the occupying government.
The statement emphasized that this act is contrary to international law and constitutes a clear provocation targeting the sentiments of Muslims worldwide.
It also noted the ongoing violations against the Palestinian people and their Islamic and Christian holy sites, warning that such actions risk deepening the cycle of violence in the region.
Qatari officials called on the international community to fulfill its responsibilities concerning Jerusalem and the holy sites.
Qatar reiterated its support for the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, including the right to freedom of worship and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital, based on the 1967 borders.
