According to a statement by the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the State of Qatar reaffirmed its full support for the political process in Libya, the relevant Security Council resolutions, and all peaceful solutions that preserve Libya’s unity, stability, and sovereignty, and that fulfill the aspirations of the Libyan people for security, peace, development, and prosperity.

Ahmed Salman Al Hammadi, Third Political Researcher at the Department of International Organizations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, participated in an interactive dialogue on item 10 of the report of the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) regarding technical assistance and capacity-building to improve human rights in Libya, held within the framework of the 60th session of the Human Rights Council in Geneva.

Al Hammadi called on the international community and the Office of the High Commissioner to continue providing technical assistance to the Libyan authorities and institutions and to ensure coordination to identify their needs, priorities, and ways of responding to them.
