Report published on casualties and infrastructure destruction in Palestine
Gaza, January 1 (Hibya) – The Government Media Office in the Gaza Strip published a report on casualties, infrastructure destruction and economic losses in the Palestinian territories as of the end of 2025.
According to CCTV, the Government Media Office in the Gaza Strip published a report, as of the end of 2025, on casualties, infrastructure destruction and economic losses in the Palestinian territories. The report revealed widespread devastation across many sectors and a continuing deterioration of the humanitarian situation.
The report said that over the past year approximately 2.4 million Gaza residents were continuously affected by military operations, and nearly 90 percent of buildings were damaged.
According to the statement, Israeli forces currently control about 55 percent of the Gaza Strip’s territory and dropped more than 112,000 metric tons of explosives across Gaza during 2025.
The Office reported that at least 29,117 Palestinians were killed or went missing in 2025, and that the death toll continues to rise.

The report also noted that Gaza’s health system is under severe strain; 22 hospitals have ceased operations and 62,853 wounded people were admitted to hospitals for treatment.
Approximately 106,000 housing units were completely destroyed, forcing about 2 million people to leave their homes. The Office stated that 87 shelters were targeted in Israeli army attacks.
The report estimated that direct economic losses in 15 critical sectors in the Gaza Strip will exceed 33 billion U.S. dollars by 2025, posing long-term challenges for infrastructure repair, the restoration of public services and economic reconstruction.
