U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio continued his engagements with Central Asian countries, holding separate meetings with officials from Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.

In his meeting with Kazakhstan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Economy Serik Zhumangarin, as well as Kazakhstan’s Special Representative to the U.S. Erzhan Kazykhan, Rubio discussed strengthening trade ties and enhancing regional cooperation.

The U.S. official also met with Kyrgyzstan’s Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Adylbek Kasymaliev, where economic cooperation, investment opportunities for American businesses, and joint projects were discussed.

Rubio emphasized that efforts to strengthen regional security and cooperation would continue within the framework of the C5+1 platform.
