Russia responds to the U.S. over Iran
Moscow, January 14 (Hibya) – Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova issued a statement regarding external interference and military threats against Iran.
Zakharova stated that Russia strongly condemns any external interference in Iran’s internal political processes.
Emphasizing that statements from Washington about the possibility of new military attacks against Iran are unacceptable, Zakharova said such threats jeopardize regional stability.
Reiterating Russia’s position that Iran’s sovereignty and internal affairs must be respected, Zakharova called for avoiding steps that could escalate tensions.
