Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar met with Ecuadorian Foreign Minister Roberto Kury as part of his official visit to Ecuador.

Highlighting the importance of the visit and the agreements reached, Saar said: "We agreed to advance the free trade agreement between our countries, while also signing two additional agreements reflecting our deepening partnership: one to strengthen cooperation in combating terrorism and a joint declaration to expand cooperation in the fields of economy and innovation."

Speaking about development and future cooperation, Saar stated: "We also agreed to deepen practical cooperation through Israel's Agency for International Development Cooperation, MASHAV. Ecuador is a true friend of Israel."

Saar concluded his statement by saying: "I look forward to building on today's achievements and taking our partnership to even greater success."
