Saar spoke with UK Foreign Secretary Cooper
Jerusalem, October 3 (Hibya) – Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar held a phone call with UK Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper.
Israeli Foreign Minister Saar spoke with UK Foreign Secretary Cooper following the antisemitic terrorist attack in Manchester.
Saar emphasized that this was a defining moment in the UK’s history to preserve its character and that antisemitic movements must be confronted. “I stressed the need to oppose pro-Palestinian marches and protests that bear antisemitic traits and sometimes openly support terrorism,” he said.
Regarding the resolutions of the “Labour Party” conference, where expressions such as genocide and ethnic cleansing against Israel were used, Saar stated: “The Foreign Secretary clarified that these resolutions do not reflect the government’s policy and that the government has rejected them.”
The conversation also addressed mutual support for US President Trump’s plan to end the war in Gaza.
