Saar: We offered assistance to France in combating the wildfires
Paris, July 26 (Hibya) - Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar said that during his meeting with leaders of the Jewish community in France, Israel offered assistance in combating the wildfires in the country and also discussed the rise in antisemitism.
Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar made a statement regarding his meeting in Paris with a delegation from the Representative Council of Jewish Institutions in France (CRIF).
Saar said that during the meeting Israel offered assistance to support efforts to combat the serious wildfires currently affecting France.
He added that the rise in antisemitic incidents in France and around the world was also discussed, noting that reports had emerged of a new attack targeting Jewish businesses in Canada.
Saar stressed that governments must demonstrate a firm stance against antisemitism through both their words and their actions.
