Saidov: A historic event in Uzbek-Bulgarian relations
Samarkand, June 10 (Hibya) – Uzbek Foreign Minister Bahtiyor Saidov announced that the presidents of Uzbekistan and Bulgaria signed a joint declaration to expand bilateral cooperation.
Saidov stated that a historic event occurred in Uzbek-Bulgarian relations, noting that the meeting of the presidents not only reaffirmed the bonds of friendship and mutual respect between the nations, but also laid the foundation for a new stage of intensive and practical cooperation.
He noted that the presidents signed a joint declaration to broaden bilateral cooperation and discussed the most effective ways to enhance relations in all fields.
"Tashkent and Sofia became partner cities. To ensure systematic monitoring of the implementation of the agreements, the parties agreed to adopt a joint ‘roadmap’, elevate the level of the Intergovernmental Commission co-chairs, and involve regional leaders and heads of major companies in their work,” he said.
