Sanchez: We offer our full support to Valencia and the Balearic Islands in dealing with the aftermath of DANA
Madrid, October 19 (Hibya) - Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez announced that he had spoken with President of the Valencian Community Juanfran Pérez Llorca and President of the Balearic Islands Marga Prohens regarding the consequences of the DANA storm. Sanchez stated that the Military Emergency Unit (UME) was participating in rescue and evacuation operations and that all necessary personnel and material resources had been made available to the regions.
Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez announced that he had conveyed the government's full support to the administrations of the Valencian Community and the Balearic Islands as they dealt with the effects of the DANA storm.
In a statement posted on social media, Sanchez said he had spoken with President of the Valencian Community Juanfran Pérez Llorca and President of the Balearic Islands Marga Prohens.
Sanchez reported that the Military Emergency Unit (UME) was involved in rescue and evacuation operations, adding that all personnel and material resources that might be needed had been made available to the regions.
Sanchez stated that the Spanish government would continue supporting the regional administrations in response to the ongoing situation.
