Search and rescue exercise begins in Israel
Jerusalem, November 1 (Hibya) - The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that the Home Front Command's Search and Rescue Brigade will conduct a military exercise at various locations across the country throughout the week. The exercise will involve multi-front emergency scenarios.
The Israel Defense Forces announced that the Search and Rescue Brigade will conduct a military exercise beginning today and continuing throughout the week at different locations across the country.
As part of the exercise, units will carry out search and rescue operations under multi-front scenarios and practice coordination with other military units and emergency organizations.
The statement said the exercise aims to strengthen the units' operational readiness and capabilities and improve their capacity to respond to complex emergencies that could occur simultaneously in multiple areas within the country.
It was also noted that increased movement of security personnel and vehicles is expected in various parts of the country during the exercise. The IDF emphasized that the activity had been planned in advance as part of the Home Front Command's 2026 training program and was not related to any security incident.
