Sharif: Pakistan Navy's courage is one of the golden pages of our history
Islamabad, September 8 (Hibya) – Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif saluted Pakistan Navy personnel on the occasion of Pakistan Navy Day and commemorated the martyrs and veterans.
Pakistan Prime Minister Sharif, in a post marking Pakistan Navy Day, saluted the officers, sailors and civilian personnel of the Pakistan Navy.
Sharif paid tribute to the martyrs and veterans, saying the courage displayed during Operation Dwarka in 1965 and by the GHAZI submarine was one of the golden pages of Pakistan's history.
Sharif said the courage, precision and determination shown during that period in defending the country's maritime borders constituted an enduring legacy.
The Pakistan Prime Minister also said the country was proud of the Pakistan Navy's professionalism, operational readiness and steadfast service in ensuring maritime security. He also highlighted the Navy's role in advancing Pakistan's maritime interests.
