Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha exchanged views with Portuguese Foreign Minister Paulo Rangel on bilateral and international issues. Sybiha thanked Portugal and the Portuguese people for their strong support and solidarity with Ukraine, noting that Portugal’s clear support for Ukraine’s European Union (EU) membership and its efforts to keep the Ukraine issue on the international agenda are highly appreciated.

Developments in the Middle East were also discussed during the meeting. The parties assessed the importance of coordinated efforts to strengthen regional stability within the context of evolving security dynamics and the broader geopolitical environment.

Sybiha also noted that they addressed strengthening bilateral cooperation in the field of defense and security, emphasizing the importance of the PURL initiative aimed at increasing Ukraine’s resilience and defense capacity.
