Sybiha: Every new sanctions decision strengthens Europe's security
Kyiv, July 23 (Hibya) - Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha welcomed the European Union's 21st sanctions package against Russia, saying it introduces new restrictive measures in the fields of energy, trade, and finance.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha issued a statement regarding the European Union's 21st sanctions package against Russia.
In a post on social media, Sybiha said he welcomed the EU's new sanctions package, which includes additional restrictive measures targeting Russia's energy, trade, and financial sectors.
Sybiha also welcomed the first steps toward formally banning individuals involved in Russia's aggression against Ukraine from entering the European Union. "Those who participate in, support, justify, or profit from Russian aggression should not benefit from the freedom, security, and values they seek to destroy," he said.
Stressing that sanctions pressure must be maintained, Sybiha called for closing loopholes in the sanctions regime and ensuring its determined implementation.
Sybiha thanked the EU institutions, Ireland's Presidency of the Council of the European Union, and the member states for their support, noting that every new sanctions decision strengthens Europe's security and helps ensure that Russia pays the price for the war.
