Sybiha: The call for peace directed at Putin is realistic and timely
Kyiv, July 26 (Hibya) - Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha commented on Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev's call on Russian President Vladimir Putin to end the war. Sybiha argued that greater pressure is needed for Moscow to accept peace proposals.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha made a statement regarding Kazakh President Tokayev's call on Russian President Putin to "stop the war."
In a post on social media, Sybiha described Tokayev's message as "realistic, timely, and wise."
Sybiha said that Ukraine has proposed halting the war along the current front lines and moving to a diplomatic process, but stated that the Kremlin continues to reject this path.
Sybiha also noted that Russian President Putin's spokesperson had rejected the Kazakh president's proposal, arguing that Moscow needs to face greater pressure in order to accept realistic peace proposals.
