Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said he was pleased to welcome OECD Secretary-General Mathias Cormann to Kyiv.

Sybiha stated that the meeting addressed the latest developments on the battlefield, the impact of Russia’s attacks on Ukraine’s infrastructure and economy, and regional security issues. “Despite the war, Ukraine continues to move forward on its path toward the EU and the OECD by implementing reforms and strengthening its institutions,” he said.

Sybiha noted that cooperation within the framework of OECD programs was reviewed and that Ukraine’s progress in aligning with OECD standards was assessed.

He also described the OECD’s assessments on infrastructure, public governance, and justice policies as “extremely valuable tools,” emphasizing that they strengthen Ukraine’s resilience and reform process.
