Syria makes statement on chemical weapons in The Hague
The Hague, April 9 (Hibya) – The Syrian delegation provided information on efforts to remove chemical weapon remnants in The Hague.
According to a statement by Syria’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, the Syrian Arab Republic delegation held a meeting in The Hague with the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW).
The statement noted that efforts to eliminate chemical weapon remnants in Syria were discussed during the meeting.
Member states were also briefed on the activities of the “Breaths of Freedom” team, led by Syria and including Germany, France, Qatar, Canada, Türkiye, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
The meeting also evaluated the team’s duties and responsibilities regarding the removal of chemical weapon remnants.
