Deniz polisinden Adalar çevresinde 'deniz taksi' denetimi

The video, shared on Trump’s Truth Social account, was related to alleged voter fraud in the 2020 election that Trump lost to Joe Biden.

At the end of the video, former President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle Obama are depicted as monkeys, while a song from the movie “The Lion King” plays in the background.

The video drew strong criticism from both Democrats and Republicans for referencing a racist caricature that equates Black people with monkeys.

According to the BBC, many people, including Republican Senator Tim Scott, called on the president to remove the video, describing it as “the most racist thing ever to come out of the White House.”

Republican Senator Mike Lawler also described the post as “wrong” and “incredibly offensive.”

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt initially defended the post.

“This was taken from a meme portraying President Trump as the king of the jungle and Democrats as characters from The Lion King. Drop the fake outrage and report on something that actually matters to the American people today.”

The post was deleted approximately twelve hours after it was published on the president’s profile.

Trump later said that he had only seen the first part of the video before it was posted and that he “of course” does not stand behind the racist part, but added that he would not apologize because he “did nothing wrong.”

According to the White House, an official had mistakenly published the post.
