U.S. President Donald Trump made remarks about the Strait of Hormuz and relations with China.

Trump said, “I am permanently opening the Strait of Hormuz. I am doing this for them and for the world.”

Referring to contacts with China, Trump stated, “China is very pleased with this situation. They agreed not to send weapons to Iran.”

Trump added, “This will never happen again,” and regarding his relations with Chinese President Xi Jinping, said, “President Xi will give me a great استقبال when I go there in a few weeks.”

Trump also said, “We are working together wisely and very well.”

Emphasizing military strength, Trump said, “But remember, if necessary, we are very good at fighting—better than anyone.”
